Halloween Spookies

For the very first batch release from the “Zoomies” model, I decided to go full spooky mode. Arched back, puffed tail, and full airplane ears activated! This batch features hand sculpted modifications to the cast, so each one has a unique tail and ears. Each paint job on this model will be unique and one of a kind, since I want to get in as many color ideas as possible. *Note: These are going fast, out of the three there is only one left! Our suspiciously otherworldly black cat is available here: https://wintersoulstudios.bigcartel.com/product/spookies-halloween Sculpture Info: •Size: About 2 in long x 1 in wide x 1⅜ in tall •Cast in resin, hand painted in acrylic & pastel. •Comes with a certificate of authenticity & care sheet. These are not 3D printed. As with all my sculpts, I sculpt the original in a wax clay which never hardens. It is then molded, cast, and hand painted by myself, the artist.

Sprites - Gem Pebbles Edition

The first batch of the Pebble Sprites has been released! They are up for adoption here: https://wintersoulstudios.bigcartel.com/product/sprites-gem-pebbles This batch uses a special “chameleon pigment”, which changes color depending on the angle of light. The varnish I use is temperature sensitive, so I figured I better get them finished before the cold months. Plus, it seemed fitting to have gems as the theme for the first batch of pebble critters! It’s so satisfying to finally have the ball rolling on painting these. Last month was slow, due to a lot of set-backs, illness, and difficulties, so I’m going to have to pack double the amount of work in this month to get things done before the November show. Here’s how I’m going to focus painting for the coming month: •New altar figurines - finishing the preorders & first “artist’s choice” paints. •Halloween themed batch of the “Zoomies” sprite figurine. •A natural color theme of all of the sprites. Was hoping to finish some sketches too, but painting and show prep need to take priority this month. Keep your eyes open for incoming tiny critters!

Casting Season 2026

With the last of the resin used, I'm relieved to say that casting season is now closed for the year! That's a major work haul out of the way. There's still so much to do - sanding, priming, painting, but we're getting closer to seeing some finished examples of these sculpts. The ones pictured, you may have noticed, are not officially released yet. They're going to be a different category than the larger "Altar" ones which were released earlier. They'll be called "Sprites", cute little animal spirits that are sparks off of the big projects. They're a little smaller than the sculpts with marbles, and are meant to be cast along side the larger ones to collect extra resin. They will be released in smaller batches of color themes, and are a great way for me to experiment with new pigments and various color ideas. I'm going to do my best not to repeat exact paint ideas. Similar to how I did with the pendants, I want each one to be uniquely hand painted with their own little variations. Their edition is set to "unlimited", but realistically not many will be released. I’m keeping them unlimited because it really is nice to have a mold that I can quickly reach for if I accidentally mix too much resin. I hate wasting material! So I'd say expect for these to top out around maybe 20-25 casts at most? Gotta get back to work, keep your eyes open for the new tiny critters!
